The new paint was ordered from one of the only places we could find that would not only sell acrylic lacquer, but hand match the shade of coral we already had.  We sent them a sample, and a few weeks later, we had a fresh supply of both the coral and the white.  We only had enough Dupont left for a couple of coats, so we wanted to put four coats of the replacement paint over the primer to use as a color base coat.

The match was good, but not perfect, so we were still counting on our supply of Dupont for the top coats.   We also put four additional coats of white on the roof, thick enough so we could polish and buff without fretting about going through it.

When we finished with the fourth coat on the roof, we masked off the belt at the back of the roof to paint it Cay Coral.  We used fine line tape, and hoped it would come off OK when we were done.  We thought it turned out good, so good in fact, we had to break out the dummy roof vent for a photo op.

It was now time to put on the topcoats.  Here's a picture of me painting.
